“Waste conversion for feed advanced fuel cells (TRACA)”
Period Time

Project Aim
Development of a biogas production system for the generation of renewable energy from agro-food waste. The generated biogas will be fed into a tubular High-Temperature Advanced Fuel Cell (HT-AFC) device obtained thanks to the use of Powder Injection Moulding (PIM) as an advanced ceramic processing technology. In this way, it is intended to obtain electricity and heat in a sustainable and highly efficient way, while the organic waste typically present in the sector is revalorized, carbon footprint is reduced and the effects of climate change are mitigated due to the reduction of greenhouse gases emissions.
