Throughout 2018, we proceeded to prepare our Second Strategic Plan covering the following 4 year period (2019-2022) in order to define our R&D+i related goals. Our Strategic Plan shall be reviewed on a yearly basis with the purpose of assessing our level of compliance with its provisions and in order to adapt it to both the CNH2’s and its environment’s circumstances as needed.
Among the main goals to be achieved with the development of the Strategic Plan are:
- Providing the CNH2 with new infrastructures and equipment to strengthen and complement its current installations and to consolidate its position as a scientific and technical centre that provides added value and facilitates access to all developments and innovations taking place in the hydrogen and fuel cell sector to both the scientific and technical community as well as the industry’s business network.
- Increasing the integration and collaboration with research groups and companies in drafting the national regulations in terms of both hydrogen and cell fuel technology, allowing the CNH2 to take part and consolidating its position in this sector, in addition to undertaking specific and highly specialised dissemination actions.
- Increasing the quality of our publications, recruiting further PhD graduates, completing a higher number of national, European and/or international R&D+i projects, increasing both our internal and external premises in order to develop strategic activities. All these actions shall enable the CNH2 to improve its industry standing and to provide as much value as possible.
- Renewing the CNH2 certifications under the updated quality and environmental management system standards (UNE:EN ISO 9001:2015 and UNE:EN ISO 14001:2015).
- Analysing the possibility of becoming a certification body for hydrogen and fuel cell related technology and equipment. If providing any non covered added value to the industry, we must adapt and develop the required certification that will increase CNH2’s capabilities.
- Increasing our capabilities to provide services (R&D+i, certification, technological development, engineering, escalation, integration, training, etc.) to both national and international companies. This shall allow us to increase our presence and to obtain further resources.
