CNH2 objectives include the use of their facilities as a centre for the processes of testing, characterisation, homologation, certification or validation of technological developments obtained by the productive sector to improve the competitiveness of the companies and to promote the introduction of hydrogen and fuel cell technologies in the national market. This objective can specified in:
“To have a flexible experimental facility, focused on hydrogen as an energy carrier, especially the one obtained from renewable energies, and applied by using fuel cells, with the capacity to develop and complement the different experiments and scientific advances of the scientific community and the productive environment, along with strategic activities required to comply with their R&D&I management plans.
This objective fulfils the results pursued by the established consortium. Furthermore, the access to different scientific and technological groups is facilitated, in order to promote the introduction of hydrogen and fuel cell technologies in the integrated energy system of the future.
The fulfillment of this objetive would allow the CNH2 to apply for their incorporation into the national map of Singular Scientific and Technical Infrastructures (ICTS), as the final goal of the current Strategic Plan.
Likewise, the CNH2 seeks to be a reference centre in its field at national level, bringing together the efforts and works of the research groups, as a connection with industry and society, promoting the transference of technology, supporting the creation of technology-based companies, collaboring in the development of regulations and technological standards, carrying out dissemination activities, along with training activities, acting as a centre for debate to promote the implementation of the hydrogen economy, producing reports, studies and documents that support it, and guiding other research centres in the activities necessary for the development of the sector.
All of this, in continuous contact with international reference centres in its field.
For all these reasons, the CNH2 makes its infrastructures and knowledge available for researchers and companies through the different laboratories that constitute the CNH2 and its technological and service offering through the Services Catalogue.
