Period Time
2013-2015
Project Aim
Two strategic research lines have been carried out:
- Development, optimization and testing of hydrogen-based systems applied in the field of the microgrids and smart grids.
- Operation of smart grids: study, control, simulation and techno-economic network optimization, virtual power plants, smartgrids and electrical microgrids with hydrogen systems.
Thanks to the results obtained in previous projects has shown how through storage systems for excess of renewable energy can operate in times of deficit generation in safety, reliability and security of supply. As well as demonstrate how hydrogen storage technologies are a viable and feasible to smooth the random nature of renewable generation required as a residential sector technology solution.
