CNH2 co-organises HydrogenSphere 2026: Connecting the Global Hydrogen Ecosystem in Madrid

The Spanish National Hydrogen Centre (CNH2) is co-organising, together with the International Hydrogen Fuel Cell Association (IHFCA), HydrogenSphere 2026: Connecting the Global Hydrogen Ecosystem, a high-level international event that will take place in Madrid on 25 June 2026. The specific venue will be announced soon.

HydrogenSphere 2026 is conceived as an international dialogue platform aimed at analysing practical pathways for hydrogen deployment, cross-regional cooperation, and the development of industrial ecosystems capable of accelerating the transition from political ambition to large-scale implementation.

The event will bring together representatives from governments, international organisations, industry, investors, standardisation and certification bodies, as well as project developers, with the aim of addressing key issues for the development of the global hydrogen market: demand creation, project financing, industrial corridors and hubs, regulation, certification, and international cooperation.

Expected participants include internationally recognised profiles and organisations such as Mr. Jinhua Zhang, Chairman of China SAE, Standing Vice Chairman of IHFCA and Standing Member of CAST, as well as representatives linked to Sinopec, Aramco, Valterra Platinum, Dongfeng Motor Group, REFIRE, ENVISION, Sinohydro and other international stakeholders in the sector. Participation will continue to be updated in the coming weeks.

The conference, which will be held in English, will address, among others, the following thematic blocks:

  • From Momentum to Market Reality: What Will Actually Scale the Hydrogen Economy?
  • Creating Demand: Where Will the First Scalable Hydrogen Markets Emerge?
  • Hydrogen Hubs, Corridors and Industrial Clusters: Building Around Real Use Cases
  • Making Hydrogen Projects Investable: Business Models, Offtake and Risk Allocation
  • From Bankability to Capital Deployment: What Will Unlock the Next Wave of Hydrogen FIDs?
  • Financing Hydrogen at Scale: Capital Priorities in a More Selective Market
  • Rules for Scale: Standards, Certification and Regulation in a Global Hydrogen Market
  • Rules, Trade and Trust: Building a Global Hydrogen Market That Can Scale

The event will conclude with closing remarks and a networking reception designed to promote exchange among participants and generate new opportunities for collaboration.
