CNH2 participates as sponsor and featured speaker at the European Hydrogen Energy Conference

The Spanish National Hydrogen Centre (CNH2) is taking part in the European Hydrogen Energy Conference (EHEC), one of the leading international events dedicated to hydrogen and its associated technologies. As a sponsoring entity, CNH2 reinforces its commitment to the scientific, technological, and industrial development of hydrogen in Europe, contributing with a prominent presence through presentations, session moderations, and the dissemination of research results.

Presentations

The CNH2 research team is delivering eight presentations covering topics ranging from electrolysis and fuel cell technologies to automation, infrastructure, and mobility:

  • “Symmetrical solid oxide cells: enhancing high-temperature electrolysis and fuel cell applications” — Roberto Campana
  • “Automation of Data Processing Acquired by SCADA from a Test Bench for Fuel Cell Modules” — Carlos de la Cruz
  • “From barriers to guidelines: HYPOP project and the implementation of hydrogen technologies” — María Panadero
  • “Platinum Recycling Towards Economical PEM Technologies” — Jesús Rodríguez Ruiz
  • “Towards the development of high-performance solid oxide technologies for fuel cells and electrolyzers” — Roberto Campana
  • “Methodology for designing and validating a modular hydrogen range extender for electric mobility” — Carlos de la Cruz
  • “Electrochemical Behaviour of Catalytic NiOOH in Ni200 electrodes in Alkaline Water Electrolysis: Influence of Renewable Energy Supply” — Jesús Rodríguez Ruiz
  • “Mobile Hydrogen Refuelling Station for H2PORTS PROJECT” — Beatriz Nieto

Parallel session moderators

  • Emilio Nieto moderates the session “Regulations, codes and standards” on 11 March, focused on the regulatory frameworks enabling the safe and harmonized deployment of hydrogen in Europe.
  • Roberto Campana moderates the session “SOEC electrolyzers: materials, components and stacks” on 11 March, dedicated to advances in solid oxide electrolysis.
  • Beatriz Nieto moderates the session “Roadmaps, strategies, valleys and networks” on 12 March, addressing European hydrogen strategies and ecosystem development.

Poster session

CNH2 also participates in the poster session with three works showcasing progress in hydrogen integration, modelling, and storage:

  • “Development of Fuel Cell Gensets for critical applications: design, integration and functional validation” — Carlos de la Cruz, Luis José Camacho
  • “Modelling and validation of a process simulation for a hydrogen refuelling infrastructure” — Alicia Megia, Beatriz Nieto, Carlos de la Cruz, Cristina Ballester
  • “Nickel as a key metal for efficient catalysis in hydrogen storage and release using liquid organic hydrogen carriers” — Roberto Campana, Jesús Rodríguez, Nuria García-Mancha, Carlos Tardío, Jorge Aguilera

The European Hydrogen Energy Conference will take place in 2026 in Seville. The Spanish National Hydrogen Centre will participate with its own space at stand 14A, open to new collaborations that foster the development and international expansion of hydrogen technologies.
