FAT Tests and Training for the Project “2kW Experimental System for the Testing of Unconventional Electrolysis” with the Università degli Studi di Cagliari
On October 8th, 9th, and 10th, the National Hydrogen Centre (CNH2) hosted the Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and training sessions on the operation of the test bench for the staff of the Università degli Studi di Cagliari (UNICA), within the framework of the project “2kW Experimental System for the Testing of Unconventional Electrolysis.”
The project, developed by CNH2 at UNICA’s request, aims at the design, assembly, and commissioning of a 2 kW experimental system intended for the testing of unconventional electrolysis processes.
The scope of the service includes:
- Design, selection, and procurement of all system components.
- Assembly of the test bench.
- Preparation of operation and maintenance manuals.
- SCADA system development.
- Programming of control strategies.
The test bench, based on PEM/AEM electrolysis technologies, is designed to operate under demanding conditions established by UNICA.
The FAT procedures and hands-on training allowed UNICA’s team to become fully acquainted with the system’s operation, control, and maintenance, strengthening the collaboration between both institutions in the field of hydrogen research and advanced electrolysis technologies.
