ADV REFORMING Project Successfully Completed.
The Spanish National Hydrogen Centre (CNH2) has taken part in the ADV REFORMING project, an initiative aimed at optimizing hydrogen production through the efficient reforming of methane and carbon dioxide in advanced solid oxide fuel cells.
Throughout the development of the project, the proposed objectives were achieved, such as:
- Evaluating and designing components and systems for solid oxide fuel cells.
- Optimizing reforming agents and catalysts to improve methane and carbon dioxide conversion.
- Validating integrated systems that enable greater efficiency in hydrogen production.
The four-year project was funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, along with the Spanish Research Agency.
ADV REFORMING is a subproject of BoSSTech, whose goal is to develop coupled technologies that enhance fuel conversion and energy efficiency. Alongside CNH2, other participants in BoSSTech included the Hydrogen Foundation of Aragón, BCMaterials Basque Center for Materials, Applications and Nanostructures, and the Institute of Nanoscience and Materials of Aragón.
