Vehicles Laboratory

Its activity focuses on the research, design, and development of zero-emission mobility solutions based on hydrogen. Its capabilities cover the full lifecycle of these systems, comprehensively addressing everything from simulation, sizing, and design to integration and experimental validation, including mechanical, electrical, and control engineering.

The CNH2 has an extensive track record in implementing technological solutions across the entire transport spectrum: from micromobility applications (drones and bicycles), to industrial logistics and land transport (forklifts, passenger cars, buses, and heavy-duty vehicles), as well as developments in the railway, aeronautical, and maritime sectors.

Additionally, the CNH2 features hydrogen refueling infrastructure designed to support the operational requirements of these applications.

Workshop
Spacious work area, equipped with a vehicle lift, crane, tools, and auxiliary services.

Dynamometer test bench
Designed for vehicle characterization under real operating conditions, it ensures test repeatability. Equipped with H2, compressed air, and N2 supply.

High-power system testing area
Area equipped with all necessary electrical and safety systems for testing high-power hydrogen systems.

Comprehensive tests on a dynamometer bench
