\"Plan<\/p>\n

The energy transition in Castilla-La Mancha has taken a decisive step forward with the recent presentation in Toledo of the Renewable Hydrogen Roadmap in Castilla-La Mancha. This document aims to position the region as a benchmark in the production and use of green hydrogen, establishing various strategic axes aligned with the European Hydrogen Strategy and the Renewable Hydrogen Roadmap.<\/p>\n

In this regard, the National Hydrogen Centre (CNH2) plays a key role in the development of this strategy. Thanks to funding from the Complementary Plans, part of the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan \u2013 Next Generation EU, in which the Centre acts as coordinator and interlocutor within the framework of the Renewable Energy and Hydrogen Program, titled: “Strategic actions in Castilla-La Mancha based on hydrogen to transform the current energy paradigm and minimize greenhouse gas emissions”, the Centre has been able to strengthen its highly qualified technological and human capabilities, driving innovative projects in the production, storage, and use of renewable hydrogen.<\/p>\n

Thus, the Complementary Plans are an instrument created by the Ministry of Science, Innovation, and Universities, in collaboration with regional governments, aimed at establishing cooperation in R&D&I actions with common objectives. Specifically, the strategic actions in which CNH2 participates are framed within Component 17 of the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan, titled: “Institutional reform and strengthening of the national science, technology, and innovation system”.<\/p>\n

The significance of these funds lies in their ability to foster synergies between administrations, research centres, and companies in the energy sector, promoting knowledge transfer and the creation of an innovative ecosystem.<\/p>\n

The public-private commitment, alongside the financial backing of the Complementary Plans, has accelerated the implementation of sustainable technologies and fostered a more competitive model in the region, where CNH2 has established itself as a national and international benchmark in green hydrogen.<\/p>\n

Renewable hydrogen can be stored and transported and can be used as fuel in sectors such as heavy transport, aviation, and maritime transport, making it a key element in advancing towards climate neutrality in Spain and enabling a 100% renewable electricity system.<\/p>\n

Thus, both the region and the Centre itself are fully committed to renewable hydrogen, ensuring compliance with European climate commitments while also pursuing energy independence and strengthening Castilla-La Mancha\u2019s position as a technological leader in the region.<\/p>\n
