With a budget of 2.5 M\u20ac\u00a0\u00a0 IMPROVEMENT\u00a0 SUDOE project involves 9 beneficiaries from Spain, France and Portugal in improving energy efficiency policies in public buildings and residences through the implementation of networks and joint experimentation, in order to improve the transition to a low carbon economy.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The project \u201cINTEGRATION OF COMBINED COOLING, HEATING AND POWER MICROGRIDS IN ZERO-ENERGY PUBLIC BUILDINGS UNDER HIGH POWER QUALITY AND CONTINUITY OF SERVICE REQUIREMENTS<\/em>\u201d, IMPROVEMENT, led by the Hydrogen National Centre (CNH2) will receive 75% of 2,5 M\u20ac from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) over the next three years. It makes that this European SUDOE project had received the most budget from the Program 2014-2020 where applied more than 120 proposals and only 18 were selected.<\/p>\n

The CNH2 is the coordinator due to be the main beneficiary of this initiative that has a large consortium, consisting of 9 beneficiary partners such as the Laborat\u00f3rio Nacional de Energia e Geologia of Portugal, (LNEG), la Ecole Nationale Sup\u00e9rieure de M\u00e9canique et A\u00e9rotechnique (ENSMA), the University of C\u00f3rdoba, the University of Castilla-La Mancha, la \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Universit\u00e9 de Perpignan Via Domitia, the Instituto Superior T\u00e9cnico of Lisbon; the Andalusian Energy Agency and at the Regional Government of Andaluc\u00eda.<\/p>\n

In addition, 8 associated beneficiaries are integrated into the project: Green Power Technologies, NEC Renovables, Ag\u00eancia Regional de Energia e Ambiente do Algarve, Agence R\u00e9gionale \u00c9nergie Climat Occitanie, Associa\u00e7\u00e3o Plataforma Constru\u00e7\u00e3o Sustent\u00e1vel, \u00c1rea de Gesti\u00f3n Sanitaria Este de M\u00e1laga, Intermunicipal Community of Algarve e Irradia Ingenier\u00eda Solar from SUDOE regions.<\/p>\n

It is part of Priority Axis 3, Low Carbon Economy, of the INTERREG SUDOE Program that contributes to greater efficiency in energy efficiency policies.<\/p>\n

The main objective of the project is to face the challenge of the integration of renewable energies and improve the energy efficiency of public buildings in which, due to their field of activity, quality and continuity of supply must be considered fundamental aspects (Hospitals, Research Centers, Military Facilities and Transportation Stations). These public buildings have a high energy consumption for electricity, heating and air conditioning. Therefore, it proposes its conversion to Zero Energy Balance Buildings (nZEB) through the integration of micro-networks of combined cold, heat and electricity generation with active neutral control and use of hybrid energy storage systems. To do this, the realization of pilot experiences in the research centres of Spain, in the CNH2, and of Portugal, in the LNEG.<\/p>\n

As a result, the first SUDOE event “Management Seminar” was settled in Santander on 3 and 4 October, presenting the conditions of monitoring and execution of the projects.<\/p>\n

In addition, the act of signing the ERDF Concession Agreements was carried out. On the one hand, the Regional Government of Cantabria, Ms. Mar\u00eda S\u00e1nchez Ruiz and Management Authority of the SUDOE program and on the other hand Dr. Emilio Nieto (Director CNH2) signed the document as the main beneficiary.<\/p>\n
