To set the development of CNH2, throughout 2014 we proceeded to develop its first Strategic Plan, which was approved by its Governing Board in December of that year. With a duration of four years (2015-2018) it will be based on the R&D Director Plan from 2015 to 2018 to set objectives as far as R&D is concerned. The Strategic Plan will be reviewed annually in order to evaluate the level of compliance of the actions foreseen therein with idea of adapting them, if necessary, to the circumstances of CNH2 and its environment.
The main objectives to be achieved with the development of this Strategic Plan are:
- Commissioning, with support from the ERDF funds granted, of the final headquarters and its 12 laboratories, the energy efficient building demonstrator and the prototyping workshop, necessary for the CNH2 to become a research center in full swing, open to researchers and companies so that it can join, before the end of this Strategic Plan, the map of ICTS of MINECO.
- Obtain the Quality Systems Certification and the Environmental Management Certification by the UNE: EN ISO 9001: 2008 and UNE EN ISO 14001: 2005. Obtain the Certification and Accreditation of different laboratories according to the services that they will offer (by Standard UNE-EN ISO / IEC 17025 in testing and calibration laboratories) in order to position the Centre as a major player in the placing on the market of equipment and related to hydrogen and fuel cell technologies by domestic and international companies.
- Strong commitment to foster the collaboration with companies and the internationalization of the Center without losing their nationwide vision through participation in European projects, i.e. Horizon 2020 and the FCH-JU 2.0 calls, and its presence in European forums related with hydrogen and fuel cells (E.NerghY, EERA) and through the promotion of relations and agreements with similar centers in other European countries.
- Promoting the development of outreach and training activities, the promotion of social participation and the development of the scientific culture, including the launch of a Fabrication Laboratory (Fab-Lab) for its integration into the international network of Fab-Labs.
